to AGM 2010
Regina
boasts “Home of
the RCMP”. At one time or another, over your career as a Member of the
RCMP,
you have spent time at “Depot” in Regina. Why not come “Home” and
rekindle old
memories. AGM 2010 is shaping up to be a memorable event.
The
dates for AGM 2010
are the 4, 5 and 6 June, 2010. Hotel rooms have been blocked, at a
reasonable
rate. Camping is available for those who like to RV it, and all the
major
airlines fly into Regina International Airport daily.
Much
has changed in
Regina
over the many years since you were here. The City has grown and
developed, and
the Force is an important part of that growth. “Depot” has changed so
much that
you will hardly recognize the Division. Landmarks like the Sergeant
Major’s
Parade Square and the Chapel remain, so that you will know you are at
“Depot”
but you will have difficulty recognizing the rest. Through the
cooperation of
the Commanding Officer and the Staff at “Depot”, and the Mayor and the
City of
Regina, you are guaranteed a memorable weekend in Regina.
The
main theme, of
course, will be the Annual General Meeting of the RCMP Veterans
Association,
however additional activities are planned. Through the hard work of the
AGM
Committee, we are planning golf, tours of “Depot” Division, a Drill
Demonstration, a Church Parade, Troop Reunions, Spousal Entertainment,
a
Banquet, a tour of the recently opened RCMP Heritage Center and a BBQ.
The
weekend is shaping up to be fun filled memorable AGM.
